No Pattern Is Real

James Greene Got invited to a show with these guys on the bill. Listened to about 30 seconds on here and decided I had to go. I was blown away. I've seen them four times now, and they just keep getting better. Sumac is probably the most obvious reference point for me; this album lands squarely in the post-metal/doom realm, but the more spacious sections and clean vocals bring to mind Mare and Kayo Dot.

If you like that kind of stuff, this won't disappoint. Favorite track: How The Ground Moves.

Austin Osborn Beautifully composed, heavy and thoughtful tracks to listen to and ponder over. Looking forward to more music from Geremiah! Favorite track: Unholy Momentum.

1.
Mountains jut up Around me Surround me Carry me with them Violently shifting Nowhere to stand We rode These waves Of earth Until it converged And carried us under Becoming one with the mantle The crust is breaking The mantle Now we drown In what we Failed to recognize Carry me down Now we drown
2.
Teeth 07:57
You never stuck around When the sun got low You were deep in trees I saw how your eyes glow And I was afraid Of what you were looking at Something I couldn't see I never let myself go You screamed in a cave And said it was a birdsong All I saw was teeth We don't talk to people We don't go outside Cavernous life Blood on walls and Pale moonlight And our smooth skin Never been pricked How our nails grow When we don't use them We love something So deeply Keeping it in It ruins It's ugly
3.
Crushing fear of Being heard in my sleep Ancient river forms this stream It is no part of me
4.
No longer under form Ceremony, or temple worship Freed from sin And the coursing root of it An empty void A sense so cold Like twisted hands By chance Released to God Bled and blessed
5.
The Moth 08:11
Impossible dream To live again And to recall One piece: Love the beast Love the mud And dirt beneath You would crawl And scrape No tongue, no bite No hand or guide A mold, that's pierced Smoke and smog Fire above You rust, and die A circle and a cry Soon we will sing like water A chalice formed by light
6.
Absentia 04:51
Lost but not gone Like shadow Missing form Echoes Vanishing Into doldrums Simulate everything Reemerge Just to disappear
7.
A sphere Whose center is everywhere Circumference nowhere The road is travelled The boulder rolls Consumes A hyperobject Unreal, bodiless "All hail the good thinker Saint shitty feeler What an ever widening chasm An arduous thing to be But how fruitful a human being There's a depression of the earth In which the moss blooms That's where I've learned to lay The quiet touch of roots begin to hold, A cold enforcement of brute fact At one point we may have thought differently, But it has to be this way I don't think that I will be here tomorrow In what future will we be allowed to prevail It's not naive to hope" Raise your head Turn to stone
